. life .

Hello, these few days have just been hectic in uni and relaxing at home. lol. y'all know me la, a procrastinator haha burning midnight oil is my specialty lol. anyway i was surfing the net for some psp plug-ins, i came across this interesting article. here goes:

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups: porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite,,,telling his guests to help themselves to the coffee.

When all had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.

"Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink! What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups. . . . and then you began eyeing the other person's cup.

"Now consider this: Life is the coffee; the jobs, money, and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not define or change the quality of Life we live. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee. God brews the coffee, not the cups. Sit back, relax and just enjoy your coffee!

"The happiest people I know don't have the best of everything. They simply make the best of everything they have."

well as y'all know im not that kind of person who thinks deep very often. but this simple fact have really woke me up. now i realise wanting the best materials stuff in my life isnt important no more. i used to complain with everything i have, but now, i began to appreciate what i have, althou i dun drive nice cars [just a wira btw], im satisfied because there's lotta our friends out there who dont even own a car, some whom even need to depend public transport to colleges.

thinking about those who have low status in society, i give them my full respect even they're MPSJ's rubbish collectors, or factory workers. why? simply because they work with their bare hands and get a living with their own blood and sweat rather than doing stuff that are harmful such as robberies and snatch thieves. if u realise, all these people live happily. staying up late at nite drinking with friends in the kopitiam, here joke abit, there joke abit, blow yi blow water. seeing all the smile on their faces really brighten up my day ahha. sometimes we just need to think outside the box, and have a clearer mind of what makes us happy, what adds colours to our lives, instead of sitting at home winning and complaining things that we dun have. my piece of advice, live life to the fullest, inwardly ofcourse, not outwardly. peace.
